My name is Kiefer Ly. I'm a graphic designer based in the Twin Cities area. I graduated from Rasmussen University with an associates degree in graphic design and I'm interested in the visual communication side of design. I don't have a super deep meaning as to why I like this aspect of design; I just find it fun to do. My most compelling experiences and successes with graphic design occurred when I designed a Japanese rock poster with a 70s feel for homework and when I created a logo for my friend's fictional railroad.
Before I delved into graphic design, I taught myself how to use GIMP when I was 15 because I couldn't afford Photoshop. I learned it to make airline logos for a browser game since there was an option to upload custom images to use as logos. I sucked at that game though and would go bankrupt every time.
